Individual allegedly failed to make payments on educational loan

OCALA — The U.S. government has filed suit against an individual who allegedly has not paid off his student loan.

The United States of America filed a complaint Sept. 1 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Ocala Division, against David Arredondo, alleging that the individual has failed to settle his debt to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered damages due to the unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds David Arredondo responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of his debt and interest to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks the principal amount of $2,415.67, interest of $1,367.88, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems appropriate. The plaintiff is represented by Steven M. Davis of Becker & Poliakoff P.A. in Coral Gables.
