MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County resident is accused of owing more than $6,000 on an education loan.
United States of America filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Miriam Pou alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt to plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Pou failed to pay the principal amount of her debt to the U.S. Department of Education, plus interest. The suit states the loan was issued in 1990.
The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,675.64, interest of $4,070.51, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Steven M. Davis of Becker & Poliakoff PA in Coral Gables.
