Employee claims Sixt Rent A Car LLC owes unpaid overtime wages

Law money 05

FORT LAUDERDALE – A payroll department employee claims she was not paid overtime wages by a rental car company.

Yesenia Hernandez filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against Sixt Rent A Car LLC and Johannes Boeinghoff alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was a salaried, non-exempt employee of the defendants working more than 40 hours per week but was not compensated for overtime hours.

The plaintiff holds Sixt Rent A Car LLC and Boeinghoff responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime wage compensation at a rate of time-and-one-half.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in her favor, payment of overtime compensation, damages, attorneys' fees, costs and other relief that the court may deem just. She is represented by Robert W. Brock II of Law Office of Lowell J. Kuvin in Miami.
