ORLANDO – A Deltona man alleges he is being harassed by a debt collector that keeps calling for another individual.

Jason Haight filed a complaint on Aug. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Wells Fargo Bank NA alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that since April, the defendant has repeatedly called him in an attempt to reach a person unknown to him to collect an alleged debt. The plaintiff holds Wells Fargo Bank NA responsible because the defendant allegedly placed several phone calls to plaintiff's cellular telephone using an automatic telephone dialing system despite his requests to stop.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, punitive damages, actual damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Octavio Gomez of Morgan & Morgan Tampa PA in Tampa.
