MIAMI — A former employee has filed a claim against Meyer's Turf Management LLC, Meyer's Turf LLC and Roberto Forte over alleged unpaid wages.

Janet Goodin filed a complaint on Aug. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate the plaintiff for all of the hours she worked.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Meyer's Turf Management LLC, Meyer's Turf LLC and Roberto Forte responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceed 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all unpaid wages, compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems appropriate. The plaintiff is represented by Todd W. Shulby of Todd W. Shulby P.A. in Weston.
