Law money 03

MIAMI – A Dade County man formerly employed for a scrap metal business alleges he is owed $16,800 in unpaid wages.

Mohammed Siddique filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Aug. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Waltco Metal Inc., Waltco Metal Recycling Inc., Dipak Mallik and Danilo Cacace alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from January 2015 to June, he was not paid the legal minimum wage as well as any overtime wages during certain months of his employment. The plaintiff holds Waltco Metal Inc., Waltco Metal Recycling Inc., Mallik and Cacace responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff for any overtime premium for any hours worked in excess of 40.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by J.H. Zidell of J.H. Zidell PA in Miami Beach.
