Passenger claims she was injured when door struck her

Cruise 10

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Riverview woman alleges she was injured on a cruise ship when a restroom door fell off of its hinges and struck her.

Dorothy Green filed a complaint on July 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Celebration Cruise Line LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 7, 2015, she suffered injuries when a door in the public restroom fell off its hinges and struck her. The plaintiff holds Celebration Cruise Line LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed warn others of the potential danger and failed to maintain the restroom in a safe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount of more than $75,000 plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Justin W. Pimenta of Abrahamson & Uiterwyk in Tampa.
