Woman alleged to have not paid education loan

MIAMI – An Indian River County woman is alleged to have not paid back a loan.

United States of America filed a complaint on July 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Lisa Sawyer, also known as Lisa Sanders and Lisa Robinson, alleging that the individual neglected and refused to pay plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant took out a student loan in 1988. The plaintiff holds Sawyer responsible because the defendant allegedly repeatedly failed to pay despite plaintiff's demands.

The plaintiff seeks sum of $9,185.90 plus prejudgment interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jennifer Margolis Marquez of Newman & Marquez PA in Coral Gables.
