Marine Diesel Specialists Inc. claims it is owed for yacht's repairs

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Fort Lauderdale business alleges that it was not paid for making repairs on a yacht.

Marine Diesel Specialists Inc. filed a complaint on June 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against the yacht Risky Waters alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in February, the plaintiff provided diesel engine repairs to the defendant. It alleges $14,662.47 is owed for the repairs since March 31 and that the defendant and its owner have not paid for the repairs.

The plaintiff seeks declaration that it has a lien upon the vessel and that the vessel be condemned and sold in payment of the outstanding amount due, all other sums owed, all legal fees and interest, and any other relief as the court deems just.
