Woman alleges benefits were wrongfully denied to her

Insurance 02

JACKSONVILLE – A Nassau County woman alleges long-term disability benefits were wrongfully denied to her.

Pamela Hydrick filed a complaint on July 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division against Life Insurance Co. of North America alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in August 2015, she became disabled but her claim for disability benefits was denied. The plaintiff holds Life Insurance Co. of North America responsible because the defendant allegedly denied plaintiff's claim for disability benefits despite that she is entitled to them according to the terms of the plan.

The plaintiff seeks payment of long-term disability benefits due and owing, interest, and all legal fees. She is represented by Thomas M. Farrell IV of Farrell Disability Law in Jacksonville.
