A to Z Wiring LLC accused of not paying overtime

Law money 13

OCALA – A Marion County man alleges a Clearwater business owes him unpaid overtime wages.

Brian Winston filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on July 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Ocala Division against A to Z Wiring LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between February and June, he worked for more than 40 hours per workweek without being paid any overtime premium for any hours worked in excess of 40. The plaintiff holds A to Z Wiring LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime wages at a rate of time-and-one-half to plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks nominal damages, unpaid overtime wages, back pay, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Matthew W. Birk of The Law Office of Matthew Birk LLC in Gainesville.
