Georgia woman files suit after I-95 accident

Car accident 09

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Georgia woman alleges she was injured in a crash in Deerfield Beach and has filed suit against the driver she claims caused the accident.

Julie E. Kawadler filed a complaint on July 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against Glenn Zabik and The Travelers Home and Marine Insurance Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 22, 2014, she sustained permanent injuries and damages to her property after an accident on I-95 in Deerfield Beach. The plaintiff holds Zabik and The Travelers Home and Marine Insurance Co. responsible because Zabik allegedly changed lanes carelessly, causing the plaintiff to take evasive action to avoid striking him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against the defendant of more than $75,000 plus all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Marc A. Chandler of Pape & Chandler PA in Fort Lauderdale.
