Credit One Bank facing accusations of telephone harassment

ORLANDO – An Orange County man has filed suit against a Las Vegas bank alleging telephone harassment.

Tony Little filed a complaint on July 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Credit One Bank NA alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was called on his cellular telephone several times by the defendant in an attempt to collect a purported debt. The plaintiff holds Credit One Bank NA responsible because the defendant allegedly called plaintiff several times in an attempt to collect an alleged debt despite his request to stop calling him using an automatic telephone dialing system.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages for each violation, $1,500 in statutory damages for each violation, permanent injunction against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Christopher Legg of Christopher W. Legg PA in Hollywood.
