Law money 06

MIAMI – A woman claims her employer knowingly and willfully refused to pay her overtime wages.

Luz M. Mora filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Eagle Carpet Restoration Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked more than 70 hours per workweek for the defendant without being paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Eagle Carpet Restoration Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any overtime compensation at a rate of time-and-one-half for all her hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks overtime pay, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Bobby Nunez of Nunez Law PL in Miami and Pedro Perez-Roura of Perez Roura Law in Miami.
