Mother alleges child fractured skull in fall on cruise ship

Cruise 02

MIAMI – A New Jersey mother alleges her child was injured on a cruise ship.

Diana Rodriguez, as parent and natural guardian of G.R., filed a complaint on June 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against NCL (Bahamas) LTD, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 25, G.R. sustained injuries when he fell due to a slippery surface of the basketball court on the ship Norwegian Escape. The suit states he fractured his skull. The plaintiff holds NCL (Bahamas) LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep the surface of its basketball court dry or provide proper warnings to passengers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Thomas Scolaro and Mason Kerns of Leesfield Scolaro PA in Miami.
