Suit filed against Carnival over alleged injures on Carnival Pride

Cruise 03

MIAMI – A cruise ship passenger alleges she was injured in a fall near a restaurant on the ship.

Shirley Wilmoth filed a complaint on June 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp. citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 21, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when she slipped and fell due to a large puddle of water on the floor on the Carnival Pride near the Mermaid Grill restaurant. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to clean the floor deck or provide adequate warnings to passengers about the condition of the floor.

The plaintiff seeks all damages, all interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by John H. Hickey of Hickey Law Firm PA in Miami.
