Allegedly unpaid overtime wages sought by home health aide

Law money 13

MIAMI – A Broward County woman claims she was not paid overtime wages as a home health aide.

Natalie Sanabria filed a complaint on behalf of other similarly situated individuals on June 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against SHAN Group LLC, doing business as Accessible Home Health Care of Aventura, and Ali F. Mandsaurwala alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that since January 2015, she has worked for more than 40 hours for the defendants but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds SHAN Group LLC and Mandsaurwala responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff at a rate of time-and-one-half for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per workweek.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory, liquidated damages, prejudgment interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Daniel T. Feld of Law Office of Daniel T. Feld PA in Hollywood and Isaac Mamane of Mamane Law LLC in Bay Harbor Islands.
