MIAMI – Two individuals have filed a suit against their former employers over claims they were not properly paid for all hours worked.

Francisco Bermudez and Aurora Delgadillo filed a complaint on June 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against AFR Environmental Corp., Acon Industrial Corp. and Adesh Ramroop alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours for the defendants but were not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiffs holds AFR Environmental Corp., Acon Industrial Corp. and Adesh Ramroop responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay a rate of time-and-one-half to plaintiffs for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per workweek.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek all damages, unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law PA in Fort Lauderdale.
