FORT LAUDERDALE – A South Florida photographer claims an employee of a Pembroke Pines country club used his work without permission.

Joseph G. Cancellare filed a complaint on May 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against Beatriz Murguido and Hollywood Lakes Country Club Inc. citing copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged as a result of his work being used without his consent. The plaintiff holds Beatriz Murguido and Hollywood Lakes Country Club Inc. responsible because the Murguido allegedly used plaintiff's photo on LinkedIn to promote the defendants' services.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Divya Khullar of Khullar PA in Tamarac.
