Stylist alleges she is owed wages from Anarkali Boutique

Law money 10

MIAMI – A stylist has filed suit against a salon alleging she was not properly paid while employed there.

Miguelina Corominas filed a complaint on May 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Anarkali Boutique Inc., Asif Sohail and Nibeela Sohail alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between 2013 and April, she worked for more than 40 hours per workweek without being paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Anarkali Boutique Inc., Asif Sohail and Nibeela Sohail responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime compensation to plaintiff and at one point purportedly did not pay plaintiff for all her work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks reasonable fee for her services according to evidence, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Charles M. Eiss and Lindsay M. Massillion of Law Offices of Charles Eiss PL in Plantation.
