Patents 09

ORLANDO – A Finnish corporation alleges that its patents regarding dental equipment have been infringed.

Oy Ajat LTD filed a complaint on May 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Genoray Co. LTD, Genoray America Inc. and Professional Sales and Consultant Group Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered and will continue to suffer damages unless and until defendants are restrained by the court from further infringing its patented products. The plaintiff holds Genoray Co. LTD, Genoray America Inc. and Professional Sales and Consultant Group Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly directly infringed its 7,154,100; 7,336,763; and 8,530,850 patents for dental imaging products. The defendants are accused of importing, advertising, distributing, selling and offering for sale infringing dental imaging products.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment that defendants have infringed patents-in-suit, award for damages, prejudgment interest, accounting of defendants profits, attorney's fees and costs and for such other relief as the court may be just and equitable. It is represented by Ryan T. Santurri of Allen, Dyer, Doppelt, Milbrath & Gilchrist PA in Orlando and Douglas V. Rigler and Jeffrey M. Goehring of Young & Thompson in Alexandria, Virginia.
