Shipping and Transit LLC alleges Ohio company infringed patents

Patents 03

MIAMI – A Boynton Beach shipping company alleges that a Columbus, Ohio has infringed patents that deal with tracking packages during shipment.

Shipping and Transit LLC filed a complaint on May 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Arlington Contact Lens Service Inc., doing business as AC Lens.com, alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has been injured and will continue to be injured unless and until a monetary judgment is entered in its favor. The plaintiff holds Arlington Contact Lens Service Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly directly infringed its 6,415,207; 6,904,359; 6,763,299; and 7,400,970 patents, which deal with tracking packages during shipping.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against defendant, prohibiting further infringement of the patents at issue, compensation for all damages, prejudgment interest, attorney’s fees and costs and all other relief as the court or a jury may deem proper and just. It is represented by Jason P. Dollard of Leslie Robert Evans & Associates in Palm Beach.
