Woman alleges she was injured by glass on Carnival Glory

Cruise 01

MIAMI – A Carnival Glory passenger alleges she was injured by broken glass while on the cruise ship.

Rose Deantignac filed a complaint on May 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Lines, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 13, 2015, she was seriously injured when a broken glass on the deck entered her foot while she was in the Kaleidoscope casino bar area, causing her to suffer bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment expenses. The plaintiff holds Carnival Cruise Lines responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain and properly clean the subject deck, failed to warn and/or protect passengers from a dangerous condition and negligently and carelessly created a dangerous condition on the subject deck.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for damages together with lawful costs of this suit. She is represented by Gregg A. Silverstein of Silverstein, Silverstein & Silverstein PA in Aventura.
