Fort Myers Broadcasting Co. alleged to have published photo without permission

FORT MYERS – A media content company has filed suit against a Lee County website operator alleging it published a photo without permission.

Barcroft Media LTD filed a complaint on May 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Fort Myers Division against Fort Myers Broadcasting Co. alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has been substantially harmed and damaged. The plaintiff holds Fort Myers Broadcasting Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly copied, stored, modified and displayed plaintiff's copyright-protected photographs on its website latino977.com without permission or authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against defendant, statutory damages, attorney's fees and costs and such other relief that the court determines just and proper. It is represented by Craig B. Sanders of Sanders Law PLLC in Garden City, New York.
