Former manager alleges cabinet makers did not pay overtime wages

Law money 12

FORT MYERS – A man alleges two Collier County businesses did not pay him overtime.

Daniel Nagy filed a complaint on April 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Fort Myers Division against Tilly's Carpentry Inc.; Kitchen Expressions Inc., doing business as Eternity Cabinets; Atilla Puskas; and Robin Puskas alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between March 2014 and March 2016, he regularly worked in excess of 40 hours per week but was not properly compensated at a rate of no less than time-and-one-half of his hourly rate for working more than 40 hours. The plaintiff holds Tilly's Carpentry Inc.; Kitchen Expressions Inc., doing business as Eternity Cabinets; Atilla Puskas; and Robin Puskas responsible because the defendants allegedly routinely did not provide additional compensation any hours worked over 40, and only received straight compensation for any hours worked over 47 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all damages, liquidated damages, attorney's fees, costs and for all other further relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Bradley P. Rothman of Weldon & Rothman PL in Naples.
