Mobile Peluso LLC accused of not paying overtime

Law money 01

TAMPA – A man has filed suit against his former Hillsborough County employer alleging he was not paid overtime wages.

Hasan Kaiabneh filed a complaint on April 5 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against the defendants alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between December 2014 and March, he did not receive proper overtime compensation for all his extra hours worked. The plaintiff holds Mobile Peluso LLC and Robert Peluso responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to compensate him at a rate of one-and-one-half times his regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a work week, failed to apprise him of his rights under the FLSA and failed to maintain proper time records.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for the unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees and costs and expenses, prejudgment interest and for any other further relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Marc R. Edelman of Morgan & Morgan PA in Tampa.
