Former general manager alleges discrimination at Habitat for Humanity ReStore

TAMPA – A Pasco County man alleges he was harassed and discriminated against at his former place of employment.

Lawrence Ligammari filed a complaint on March 15 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Habitat for Humanity of Bay County Florida Inc. alleging violation of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff he was a general manager at the ReStore in Zephyrhills alleges that he was subjected to harassing conduct and received derogatory remarks about his sexual orientation. The plaintiff holds Habitat for Humanity of Bay County Florida Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly made false accusations against him in an effort to terminate him and failed to take remedial actions to correct the situation.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages and all court costs and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Jay F. Romano of Romano Law Center PA in Boca Raton.
