MIAMI – A Florida medical company alleges that an online media business willfully violated the Copyright Act provisions by publishing and reproducing its copyrighted work without authorization.

Triaxial Medical Inc. filed a complaint on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Internet Brands Inc. citing alleged copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered and will continue to suffer irreparable injury unless the injunction sought is granted. The plaintiff holds Internet Brands Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly directly infringed its copyrighted work dealing with feminine cosmetic/reconstructive surgery for trauma, congenital deformities and acquired pathological disorders.

The plaintiff seeks the following: temporary, preliminary and permanent injunction enjoining defendant from all acts of copyright infringement of its copyrighted works; an order directing the destruction of all copies found to have been made or used; compensation for all damages and for all profits derived by defendant from infringement; attorneys' fees and costs; and any further relief that the court may deem just and appropriate. It is represented by Louis R. Gigliotti of Louis R. Gigliotti PA in Hollywood.
