FORT LAUDERDALE — A woman is suing the United State Postal Service, claiming she suffered serious injuries when she tripped and fell on an uneven sidewalk outside a postal facility in Fort Lauderdale.

Roseann Pierre filed suit on March 8 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Fort Lauderdale Division against the United States Postal Service, citing alleged failure to warn and negligence that resulted in an injury.

The plaintiff alleges that, on Dec. 13, 2013, she was injured when she tripped and fell on the sidewalk, and she holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to maintain its premises free from dangerous conditions, failing to warn the public as to the existence of the dangerous conditions and failing to implement procedures requiring its employees to report possible unsafe and dangerous conditions.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for all damages suffered and all legal fees. She is represented by Robert J. Fenstersheib of The Law Offices of Robert J. Fenstersheib and Associates, P.A. in Hallandale Beach and Eduardo E. Dieppa III of Dieppa Law Firm, P.A. in Hialeah.
