Woman sues over alleged injuries after fall aboard Norwegian Breakaway

MIAMI – A Pennsylvania woman is suing a cruise line after allegedly falling while aboard the Norwegian Breakaway.

Mary Kostelec filed a complaint Feb. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against NCL (Bahamas) LTD, citing breach of duty and failure to warn.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 12, 2015, she slipped and fell on a wet deck, causing her to suffer bodily injuries. The plaintiff holds NCL (Bahamas) LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make the surface of the floor slip-resistant.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for damages of more than $75,000, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of capacity to enjoy life, loss of earnings, loss of ability to earn money and costS for this action.
