Blessed International Products sues Help to Make Life Better

MIAMI — Dietary supplement distributor Blessed International Products Inc. is suing online retailer Help to Make Life Better Inc. over alleged product disparagement and other claims.

Blessed International Products, based in Key Largo, has sued Virginia-based online retailer Help to Make Life Better, Jonathan D. Gonzales, Roceta Jo Gonzales and Robert H. Gonzales, claiming trademark infringement, unfair competition, unfair trade practice and product disparagement.

The dietary supplement distributor filed a complaint on Feb. 17 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they recklessly violated the Lanham Act by publishing false and misleading statements.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered financial losses in eBay sales. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly making false or misleading statements regarding the authenticity of the plaintiff's trademark in eBay listing.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for loss of profit, punitive damages and attorneys' fees and costs; permanent injunctive relief; and any other relief that the court may deem just and proper. The plaintiff is represented by Christian Sanchelima of Sanchelima & Associates P.A. in Miami.
