MIAMI — An international shipping firm is suing Miami-based Hayek Services for more than $100,000 in unpaid freight invoices.

King Ocean Services Ltd. filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Hayek Services Inc., alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, between August 2014 and September 2015, Hayek hired King Ocean to transport cargo from Port Everglades to several international ports. The lawsuit alleges that King Ocean has repeatedly requested payment and that Hayek refuses to pay nearly $109,000 in freight and related charges.

King Ocean's lawsuit requests full recovery of unpaid invoices, taxable costs and disbursements of the suit, and other damages determined by the court. It is represented by attorney Dee M. Dolvin of Dee M. Dolvin P.A. of Miami.
