MIAMI — A passenger aboard the Carnival Victory cruise ship is suing the Carnival Corporation, alleging he was injured after an employee ran over his foot with a cart.
Kenyon E. Robertson filed a lawsuit on Jan. 6 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Carnival Corporation, citing negligence regarding the upkeep of safety procedures aboard the Carnival Victory.
Robertson claims he was a paying passenger aboard the defendant’s vessel on Jan. 26, 2015, when he claims to have been checking a liquor purchase, upon which time, an employee allegedly came out of a side door and ran a seven-foot cart into the plaintiff’s foot. Robertson avers that the defendant breached its duty to provide a safe environment for passengers, properly train employees and to post warning signs of cart passages. The plaintiff claims the incident resulted in bodily injury, subsequently causing him pain, requiring medical treatment, and incurring lost wages.
Robertson seeks judgment for all damages recoverable by law. He is represented by Frederick Gunion, Jr., of the Law Offices of Robert Dixon, in Miami, Florida.
