In the Circuit Court for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, Lucas Bibelhauser has filed a lawsuit against Umami Endless Sushi & Bar LLC, a Florida limited liability company. The case, numbered 24-001637-CI and filed on April 11, 2024, seeks damages exceeding $50,000 for an incident that occurred at the defendant's restaurant.

The plaintiff alleges that while patronizing the defendant's establishment located at 3942 Tyrone Blvd N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709 on May 14, 2023, he slipped and fell on a large puddle of water or other liquid near the bathroom area. According to Bibelhauser's complaint, this hazardous condition was created by an employee who had dropped dishes and other items on the floor prior to his fall.

Bibelhauser claims that as a result of his fall caused by the hazardous condition of which Umami Endless Sushi & Bar LLC had actual or constructive notice, he suffered serious and permanent injuries and other damages. He alleges that inadequate measures were taken by the defendant or its employees to warn of or remedy the dangerous condition.
